Tenth Post: Apologies for the Late Post

This blog is written a week ago... Haven't have time to post it until now.

I haven’t forget about the blog! It’s just that I’m too busy this summer doing interships, volunteer works, and try to have fun at the same time!I’m acutally working right now! See, I really don’t have time but no matter how busy I am, I will still try to update this blog as often as possible. Anyways, happy summer!! :) I currently have lots of things for me to get done. Such as helping with chores as well as doing work at the same time. This year, Lum Lum is going to Chinese school!! lol. But only in PinYin class. As the teacher said, just give her a bigger chair to sit on! Lol. I found that funny. Since my schedule is busy this summer, I most spend my  time outside of home. Luckily, I get to chill on Saturdays and Sundays. I don’t even get what I am supposed to do in my intership at the financial district. I am just sitting here and typing and doing research and no one will care about it… But there is good food! MY motivation!! :) Besides that, BORING! I get really sleepy sitting here and looking at the computer. I always fall asleep here, but I never do it in Betty Ong. Oh, Betty Ong is an awesome place to be. I mean, it’s not as bad as I think it would be. I’ve met fabulous and awesome people that I can talk to and even though the kids can be a bit lousy, I enjoy watching them play. Most importantly, there is free food! By the way, watching the weight room was both fun and boring thing to do. Fun because I get to watch people workout and learn from them and meet some strangers. Boring because I just sit there to make sure people won’t steal equipments.
This entry will be the longest out of all the other ones hopefully. I want to make up the days I have been  missed and try to include bits of fun days into this entry. This summer is awesome! Got to go to DD’s and buy some cheap clothing but it was also kind of expensive. Writing this journal keeps me awake. ^o^
Oh, should I sing “it’s Friday, Friday! Gotta go down on Friday?” It’s Friday today! Will be having an interview at Heron's Head Park tomorrow! (Add. Info: I failed the interview! I stuttered too much and didn't feel like to work there? I guess I bombed the interview on purpose, since I have two internships now. Still, I am feeling good and happy. :) ) Bye! I will try to update this blog as often as possible like I said before.
Talk to you later. Stay in focus! PPece (from Falcon Lover) LOL!!! XD

Ninth Post: SUMMER TiME :)

Hand-made Wood Coaster!! :)

Hey!! Haven't post for the last couple of weeks. My apologies. Finals were stressing, so I studied from day to night.. Whatsoever, finals were finished!! I got pretty decent grades too!! Proud of myself! It's summer time now. I have lots of volunteer works and internships to do! I love this summer! It must be really fun! I made wood coasters today and they turned out to be fabulous. Went to Great America yesterday!! Super fun!!! It was actually me first time trying the Grizzly and the Gold Striker. Couldn't imagine that I tried the roller coasters. I used to avoiding, but after I tried the Drop Tower last year, I'm not scare of those anymore! Oh, please don't try going on the Orbit..it was not fun and I was really dizzy after. I made wishes on the Celebration Swing. Took pictures of the beautiful fountain at the entrance while riding the horse. I really enjoyed playing bumper car.. made me feel that I was good at driving. Great America was really fun. Thanks to CYC and MYEEP for sponsoring this field trip :)! It will be an elated summer! Let me jot down my finals grades, in case I forgot them when I want to know them..
Math: 67 (I mean... really.. that was pretty bad. But fortunately, with my other trimester grades, my final grade is an A)
English: A (Mr. Hereford was generous enough to give all of us As)
PE: don't know; need to wait for the report card
World History: A 100.89% (happy!! studied hard for the finals)
Biology: A- (got an A- on finals but an A for semester grade)
Spanish: A (recitation..don't need to worry that much)
Health: 95% (I don't know if she was generous and gave us a good grade or did I really deserve that grade?)
Anyways, past is the past. I have to think about the present. Need to get a lot of things signed and done for the BizAcademy internship in the summer...
I should change the name of this blog once again. It should be named FREE TIME BLOG. Lol..temporary name and makes absolutely nonsense.
Stay chill and be safe in summer!

Eighth Post: A Sum Up of the Weeks

Sorry for not posting for the past few weeks!! I've been really busy lately with extracurricular activities, homework, tests, projects, finals, and of course, procrastination...

To summarize, I'll just bullet point what I've done in these past few weeks.

  • 5/3 Saturday: failed to call Exploratorium at 10 am, even though I called continuously for an hour. :( :( Why...just why?? I will definitely call in at 9:59 am next time!!
  • 5/10 Saturday: had a fun time at Summer Job+ Fair!! Learned lots of skills..I guess.
  • 5/17 Saturday: got rejected by Greenagers :( Why again?! Am I that bad at interviews? I got rejected by Peer Mentor before, and now..Greenagers?! Hope they reply my email back with suggestions that I can improve on.
I was about to volunteer today, but I fell back to sleep after the alarm was off. I NEED to learn do things on time and not to procrastinate!

Seventh Post: The Biweekly Post

Last day of MYEEP workshop
Had two interviews the last two days: Greenagers and BAY. They were great experiences and I learned to prepare for future interviews too. I still cannot forget how I did at the Peer Mentor interview..*face palm* It has been two weeks that I haven't post any entries due to my busy schedule. I will be having a History test on human rights violations around the world in the 20th century. Tough work..I have to memorize all the information in less than a week along with my other homework and activities.

Because I had to go to CYC to turn in my Great America field trip form (only the first 20 early birds get to go for free :)) on Wednesday and had an interview on Thursday, I wasn't able to listen to the student presentations for the Science Research Club. I really want to see how they did. Oh well.. can't rewind time. OH.. as I mentioned, I will be going to Great America and sure not, I will post the pictures too!

Tuesday was the last day of MYEEP workshop :( But I got to eat a lot of delicious food =D I really have to thanks MYEEP for everything. Everything I am mostly doing now is through the help of MYEEP. Without this organization, my freshmen year will be hell yeah...boring. I will cherish the moments we have together. I met lots of new friends and gained lots of confidence as well as skills that will be essential to me for the rest of my life. The first motive that drove me to MYEEP was the money..well it still kind of is right now. However after two semesters, I drifted my motives. I really think MYEEP helped me a lot. If I were to do MYEEP another time without the wage, I would be willing to do it again! I LOVE MYEEP! Thanks CYC for this opportunity. I will look forward to become a CIT and engage in another program under CYC!

On Friday, we had an ethnic food festival in history class. Yum! Got to try different cultural foods and some junk snacks too. I made ham and cheese quesadilla. I had fun in the process of making it. After so many tries of making it, I reached perfections! :) I am happy that my dish was gone by the end of class!! I always had the fear that what I bring to the party will not be popular and I will end up bringing it home. When I was in 7th grade, I brought 5 cans of pringles and it sure was not popular. I was afraid that it would happen again. Luckily, it did not!! :)

Although this week was a bit crazy, I had fun and enjoyed it! Enjoy your day like the best day everyday! LOL..does it even make sense?

Sather Gate!!!

Saturday was super fun...well at least most of the part. CAL-DAY!! Went to UC Berkeley! Got some free perks and an awesome visit! Got a chocolate chip green tea ice cream sandwich from CREAM!! I don't know why people like CREAM, but I think the quality is so-so. Anyways, it was delicious!! =D Also, I had $10 to buy lunch--got Fish Cake Ramen. UCB is enormous and pretty. I would love to go there!! Definitely will apply there for college. I love the myth about the two brothers fighting over a girl and coming up with different numbers of the rooms in the building. Haha, alos the 4.0 Hill. Thanks MYEEP for this awesome field trip. Thanks UC Berkeley's faculty and students for the amazing "open house" arrangements! I LOVE UC BERKELEY!! GO BEARS! GO BEARS!

Fifth Post--BizAcademy :)

Had a marvelous fantastic Spring Break with lots of surprises! I spent this year's Spring Break in the financial district at sales force.com. There were great snacks, delicious lunches, freebies, new friends, and learning experience. At first, I decided to not to go..because I knew no one in there. Fortunately, I did not quit and continued my awesome journey there.

What did you do there, you asked? It was a series of workshops that teaches youngsters sales, tech, and marketing. I really learned a lot from just the five days of workshops. At last, on Friday, the groups would pitch their idea to the judges.

Let's rewind!!

Monday
First day of workshop..did not really enjoy it. No one I knew was there. We had assigned groups and topics to build an app on. There were sixteen participants in total, breaking into four groups. Our topic was pet care. Therefore, we had to create an app that helps to owners care pets more convenient. Great lunch!! Sandwiches and salad from Speciality.

Tuesday
More idea brainstorming and did a practice pitch with the sales people at salesforce. It went well. Our app was basically a scheduling and document holder app that provides an online community for users to chat with other users. Lunch: super delicious Chipotle burrito with barbecued chicken, brown rice, lettuce, and guacamole!!! Yum,yum. The snacks there were really good too. Heaven of food!!!

Wednesday
Had to deal with my passport stuff and missed half of the day of workshop including the lunch and group brainstorming..it was okay. At least, I caught up with the last hour of workshop and toured the salesforce headquarter!! :)

Thursday
More busy work and lessons. Enjoying my Spring Break so far! Love it! Lunch: PIZZA! Had to choose the MVP for our team and I chose Walter. He is a cool guy that brought pleasure to our stressful work :).

Friday
Last day of BizAcademy :( We had to pitch today. Not nervous because I was the tech support..not the pitcher. Met the cofounder of salesforce: Parker Harris! Super awesome. Along with three other highly positioned people at the pitch. I have to admit... I think my group and I did really horribly during the pitch. But guess what? WE WON THE JUDGES' HEARTS AND GOT FIRST PLACE!!!! What was even more awesome was that each person got to get $100 for his/her dedication in the workshops and an iPad!!!! I was stunt at that moment.. What, iPads!? Yes, I did not misheard them. Because our group won, we got a $150 bonus!!Sweet! We also did a raffle for two Toshiba computers... I knew would not have the luck to get the computers. Remember the MVP...yes, whoever was chosen the most for MVP would get an extra $100 iTunes gift card.. Of course, not me again. I think the person who got it voted for herself, but anyways, I think she deserved it. Lunch: went to Tender Green and I ordered steak with mashed potato with kale. Yum, yum! Thanks Aaron for this delicious meal!

Here, I would like to thank the awesome MYEEP of JCYC for making this happen. Most importantly, salesforce too. So, thank you!!

Thank you...
Amanda, Beth, Aaron, Anna, Parker, and all the other volunteers at salesforce for helping me and the other participants to get some hands-on experience of business and teaching us every bit of important information. I really appreciate you guys' hope and dedication to us. :)

My best Spring Break EVER!! Thanks for the awesome peeps that made this happen. I would cherish and treasure every moment we had together in the deepest place in my heart.

Fourth Post

Touching base here..sorry that I didn't post last week. I'm back on track now!! YAY for Spring Break. Finally, I've been waiting so long for a whole week break. In the mean time, I have homework and projects to do along with an internship at salesforce.com too. Stressful. :(

let's rewind!

Monday-- Had a Cold War Unit Test. Studied from sunrise to sunset on Sunday. I was tough, especially that I would have an Evolution test the following day. Didn't expect I had to know the faces of the leaders, so I guessed on Fidel Castro and Ngo Dinh Diem. Haha, Castro did look like a Castro. There wouldn't be another name that fit him better. Ngo made me lost 2 points because I thought he was Deng Xiaoping! Glad I did satisfied on this test.

Tuesday-- Biology test. Didn't know half of the questions. It wasn't hard, but it was that my biology teacher couldn't teach. I couldn't learn anything from him or just that he's not the type of teacher for me. Every one in his class gets easy A's. By the way, I think that my bio teacher got the test questions on the Internet. He did not make it. I missed my last semester's bio teacher; she was one of the best! I didn't horribly on the biology test- got a B-.

Wed-Thurs. -- Introduced the Pecha Kucha project. I have to strive and finish it on time with good quality!! Have to raise my project grade up after screwing over the first mind map.

Friday-- KERMESSE!!! I don't even know what that is for. I just know it's something about cultures. My school was selling food. Like usual, I didn't buy any. Oh, I put together parts of a fish tank! I'm awesome (IKR). Got out super early from Block 8! =D

I'm stopping here. SO SLEEPY!! Why do I always post really late at night?
Stay positive, stay strong, and have a nice Spring Break (if you have one).

Third Post

Hey!! HAPPY BELATED PI DAY AND WHITE DAY!! HAPPY EARLY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

let's rewind..

Monday -- insignificant, typical high school life

Tuesday -- GOT UP AN HOUR LATER!! MISSED FIRST BLOCK (ENGLISH) AND ALMOST LATE FOR SECOND BLOCK! Forgot to set my alarm. In PE, we were doing the fitness test. Girls need to do seven push ups to pass. And I did six. I know you will ask: why don't you endure one more? Actually, my formation was wrong from the first one. I was really generous that my PE teacher let me do four more before stopping me. After she corrected my formation, I collapsed after doing half of a push up. So I don't deserve the number anyways.

Wednesday and Thursday -- same as Monday

OMG...On Friday, which was also co-curricular day and all those other stuff going on, I passed out in Health class. After watching a video of a person committing suicide, I was too shocked. I don't know why but I was also imagining me in her shoes when she cut her wrist. It was just too shocking (plus I'm tired too) then the next thing I knew was my vision started to blur--the second after, I was on the floor. I actually don't know what happened. I thought I was still in my bed, waiting for the alarm to ring. The first words I heard was, "WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" Because I was wearing my glasses and I don't know how I fell, my nose was on pain right now. Did I fall landing on my nose first? Ow.. According to Lucy, who sat behind me, before I fell, I was shaking and I fainted for about ten seconds. I've fainted before too... Don't want to go too deep into it.
Everything is okay now. I guess I need to sleep and eat more...don't want it to happen again...it was so embarrassing.

Sleep well, dress "chill," and eat healthy.

New Layout and New Name!

The title says it all! This time, I aim for a more elegant, natural, and comfy look. Too bad that I didn't snap screen the previous design.. it would be a good comparison. Worked on the design for about an hour! Whew, such tedious and painstaking work.. Just kidding, I did this willingly and enjoyed the process of it. Alrighty, good night, don't let thy bite!

Second Post--Failed Commitment

I should really change this to "My WEEKLY Journal" -can't commit to a daily blog!!! Homework plus TV equals to procrastination. Anyways, HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY! Never pay attention to this after my Russian math teacher tells about it and after Google celebrates it as its logo.

Let's rewind!

On Monday.. I watched House in Pre-Med Club. OMG! Why were the scenes so graphical?  There was a scene when they cut into the patient's brain and started taking something out of it. My eyes kept staring at the desk... Forgot to mention that I had 8 hours of sleep--fully charged!! Yay =D! Oh, I also enjoyed a bagel in my English class-my first class. Just in time, didn't have enough breakfast. The soft blueberry bagel with smooth strawberry cream cheese was a food from heaven!! Perfect match! I savored every bite slowly as it melted in my mouth. Can't wait for the next Bagel Day!

Tuesday. Nothing special.. boring. Catching up with my deadlines and only had 6.5 hours of sleep! >:( I want my sleep back!

Wednesday. Half way through Friday! Went to BizU workshop today--sandwiches, chips, and soft drinks were the motivation there. Arghhhh, they went an hour over time, and I was in a rush to pick up my sister--most importantly, there was no money for being OT!! Anyways, I did learn about what marketing is and how brands work in the workshop. They had guest speakers come, but their speeches were humdrum that my eyelids started to cover my vision as they spoke on and on. I tried to pinch in my leg to wake up but really..I tried. I blame on the 6.5 hours of sleep yesterday!!

Thursday--had a CLOSED note quiz in history! Fortuitously, I did well =D!!

It's Friday, Friday~!@ Special schedule today! Had an earthquake and fire drill followed by a rally. The sky was just TOO CLEAR and BRIGHT. Felt like a suntanning while watching the rally. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of rallies. No offense, okay. Just sitting there watching people perform--man, I can use this time to watch an episode of Game of Thrones. I got home, and couldn't help to procrastinate. WHY!! JUST WHY..

I don't want this Saturday to end~@ Lol, get it?! oh, it's okay.. Went to work and got out 30 mins early. YES! Sorry, I am just an imperfect person that likes to arrive late, procrastinate, and get out early. This is who I am.. can't change it but I'm trying hard to. Haha, it's ironic that I am writing this as I am procrastinating. You know, not posting daily is acceptable.. 3 days in a row is a big no-no, 6 days is the biggest flaw ever (well not really).

Sunday--SPRING FORWARD! SPRING UR REJOS AN HOUR FASTER!

Ok, I have to get back to the pile of paper in front of me. Having a quiz this upcoming Monday. Too much homework. Too many things I crave for. Too much is waiting for me to do. Too much too much..

Enjoy everyday, live your life to the fullest, stay positive, and don't procrastinate!!

First Post

Here, I will try to post my daily moments, whether it's good or bad, to express and appreciate my life. I've been scribbling in my journal made out of scratch paper for about half a year ago...but then, I left it in the corner of my desk; now, it's full of dust. Oh well, I'm always having a headache over my schedule, trying to meet deadlines while procrastinating. I'm not sure if I will even post daily on this blog..perhaps just weekly or probably monthly.
